A few years ago a young unemployed New Yorker named Karyn who had gotten herself $20,000 into credit card debt started a website which
asked for donations to help her pay off her debt. Believe it or not,
her idea really paid off and helped her to pay off her debt in 5
months. She has now written two books and, apparently, Sony has
optioned the rights to her story. I think that Karyn did a great job of
taking a bad situation and turning it to her advantage and that we can
all learn from her example.
